WHAT ARE ETFs?
A termination fee is a charge levied when a party wants to break the term of an agreement or long-term contract. In terms of cellphone and mobile service providers, an Early Termination Fee is referred to the fee a consumer pays when breaking the common two-year contract before its end.
The 4 main providers in the country have the following ETF policies:
- Sprint: $10 a month after the first 4 months, no restocking charges.
- Verizon: $350 Flat rate and a variable stocking fee depending on your phone.
- AT&T: $325 plus restocking fees.
- TMobile: $200 flat rate, prorating only the last six months.
